40 years of expertise, no active website

Moldsid manufactures precision injection molds. Its domain had expired, leaving local and international buyers unable to evaluate its capabilities before contacting the team.

I designed a digital presence around services, processes, and technical expertise.

Explain precision

Industrial buyers needed clear services and visible contact routes across devices.

A 3D mold could explain the product while increasing rendering cost. That balance shaped the proposal.

Technology needed to explain the product, not compete with it.

Start with the buying journey

I organized capabilities, services, process, evidence, and contact using industry references.

Visitors can learn about the manufacturer or go directly to a quote.

Turn a physical product into the interface

Show instead of describe

The team chose an interactive 3D model over the initial video direction so visitors could understand how the mold is assembled.

A real CAD-to-web pipeline

The client provided a CAD file in Siemens NX format. I exported it, separated the model into 10 individual parts in Blender, and prepared optimized geometry for Three.js.

Exploded-view storytelling

Model, copy, and background move as independent layers while the exploded view reveals the product progressively. The animation makes visible a complexity that a flat photograph cannot explain.

Expose the trade-off

The 3D experience adds differentiation but comes with a real performance cost, particularly on lower-powered mobile devices. Lighthouse scores: Accessibility 94, Best Practices 100, SEO 92.

An adaptable visual system

Service pages share hierarchy, modules, and controlled motion, with room to explain each process.

I documented contrast limitations in some client-selected colors. Accessibility remains an area for improvement.

From composition to browser

I built reusable React and Next.js components and integrated Lenis and Three.js.

I adjusted spacing, timing, and model scale in the browser. The manufacturer’s 40 years of experience anchor the story.

The hero uses the 3D exploded view as the primary narrative element.

A published digital presence

The website brings services, capabilities, and contact together. The client approved the direction and felt it represented the business more accurately.

Feedback is positive, but inquiry and conversion impact still need measurement.

Ambition creates a technical obligation

  • An advanced interaction needs to justify its implementation cost.
  • Working with real industrial assets creates a more authentic story than generic media.
  • A bold proposal also creates an obligation to optimize and maintain it.
  • Stakeholder approval validates direction, not user or business impact.
